Job Summary: As the Site Technical Manager, you will play a vital role in upholding and enhancing quality standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer expectations. You will hold a vast range of responsibilities: Lead and Develop the site Food Safety Culture Responsible for all internal and External audits (Including Major Customer Audits) Strong knowledge of Quality requirements including HACCP and BRC Maintain technical standards for the site. Ensure your technical team is in line with legislative and customer operating standards Ensure that quality management systems, operating practices, and process controls are developed, implemented Lead and advise the site teams on statutory regulations and company standards impacting on-site standards, food safety, quality and environmental hygiene. Develop technical competency and continuously improve technical operational effectiveness. Liaise with suppliers and customers ensuring KPI’s are delivered Work with NPD making sure all procedures are followed for new products Your Skills & Experience To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor's degree in food-related discipline. A relevant Master's degree would be advantageous. Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing the Food Safety/ Technical function at Technical Management level leading GFSI accreditation and customer audits. Proven experience in a technical management role within the food industry (ideally Meat), with a strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality management systems (HACCP). Internal Auditor trained. In-depth knowledge of food manufacturing processes, quality control techniques, and statistical analysis. (BRC, specification platforms, microbiology analysis) Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing quality team.
