Job Opportunity: Matron - Community CAMHS
We are looking for an experienced nurse leader to join our team and provide operational and clinical leadership in the areas of quality care, patient safety, and risk management. You will manage teams to deliver compassionate, high-quality care within a complex and diverse environment. Your role will include ensuring the implementation of evidence-based care plans, involving patients and carers in service assessments, and driving quality improvement initiatives.
As part of our team, you will monitor care standards, support staff development, and work closely with the Care Group Head of Nursing to advance our quality, patient safety, and clinical effectiveness agenda.

Main duties of the job
1. Providing visible, professional, operational clinical leadership within an identified area.
2. Translating the organisations vision and values into meaningful actions for teams.
3. Managing teams within an identified area and holding the teams to account for the delivery of compassionate, high-quality care. This includes ensuring that all patients have an up to date, evidence-based care plan that is being actively implemented.
4. Managing teams within a highly complex environment taking into account the ethnically diverse nature of staff and patients.
5. Ensuring that patients and carers are fully involved in assessment of the quality of care delivered and in service redesign.
6. Monitoring and measuring the quality of care provided and taking the necessary steps to improve care when issues are identified.
7. Identifying areas for service improvement and implementing improvement initiatives using evidence-based methodologies.
8. Ensuring that all staff members have up to date appraisals and development plans so facilitating all staff to reach their full potential.
9. Supporting the Care Group Head of Nursing to deliver the quality, patient safety, and clinical effectiveness agenda within the service.

Qualifications and Training
* Registered Nurse (Child, Mental Health)
* Degree
* Recognised leadership course of programme
Experience
* Extensive experience of managing a ward or department
* Experience of monitoring and measuring service quality
* Evidence of working with others to develop and deliver services
* Experience of managing clinical teams including performance management, appraisals and development planning
* Experience of effective risk management within a service
* Experience of implementing service improvement projects
* Research experience
Knowledge and Skills
* The ability to provide nursing leadership and advice within the service and to lead and motivate staff.
* Is able to translate the trusts strategic objectives into tangible objectives for teams
* The ability to hold staff to account for the quality of care required for CQC, NMC and SCFT standards and duty of care
