Tradewind are looking for dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join the Additional Resourced Provision (ARP) of a welcoming Primary School in North West London. This role is perfect for someone with a background in SEND support who thrives in an inclusive, nurturing environment.
The Role:
Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with neurodiverse needs and autism.
Working closely with the SENDCo and specialist teachers to implement EHCP targets.
Supporting children in developing their social and communication skills.
Creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Using de-escalation strategies and positive behaviour support techniques.What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children with SEND, particularly autism and social-emotional needs.
Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, TEACCH, or other SEND strategies (desirable but not essential).
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
