We are recruiting a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our client, leading mechanical engineering design activities across high-hazard projects, including those in the energy and petrochemical sectors. This role spans the entire engineering lifecycle, from conceptual design to ensuring compliance with international standards. Key Responsibilities: Developing and reviewing mechanical engineering documentation, including calculations, reports, specifications, and material and labour estimates Planning and managing the design, production, and commissioning of mechanical systems Providing technical input for feasibility studies, tenders, and front-end engineering design (FEED) processes while contributing to resource planning and delivery Acting as Lead Engineer on key projects, ensuring quality and timeliness, and deputise for the Mechanical Section Head when required Preparing tender documentation and estimates, ensuring alignment with project requirements and client expectations Ensuring designs adhere to all relevant regulatory standards and industry best practices Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc/BEng); Chartered Engineer status is advantageous Significant experience in mechanical engineering design within high-hazard industries, with expertise in seismic/international design codes Skilled in 3D design tools (for example, SmartPlant 3D, PDMS) and delivering cost-effective solutions for complex systems Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver innovative and compliant designs If you are seeking a role where you can shape engineering strategies and contribute to impactful, high-profile projects, we encourage you to apply
