About the Role
Working alongside the Regional Lead Clinical Educator, you’ll play a key role in identifying training needs and supporting the planning, delivery, and evaluation of educational sessions for new team members and existing staff across the organisation.
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring high-quality learning experiences that equip our clinical team to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving healthcare environment.
We are looking for someone who can:
* Act as a mentor to new and existing members of the clinical team
* Provide support on inductions and training programmes.
* Deliver CHEC clinical induction process.
* Support and facilitates the development of clinical practice mentors; provides supervision and support structures.
* Support the delivery of clinical staff training programmes across the region.
* Maintain training records and update training matrices.
* Be responsible for the facilitation and delivery of mandatory and departmental education and training.
* Support new site openings of new hospitals for all clinical staff.
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Extensive experience, knowledge, and competency in all clinical duties of an Ophthalmic Assistant
* Confident in supporting and guiding individuals with different levels of understanding.
* Confident in helping new team members settle into the clinical environment.
* Experience of partnership working across organisational boundaries and collaboration with other professionals.
* Ability to work flexibly and effectively within a team.
* Ability to travel to and work across multiple sites.
* Passion for high quality patient safety and care
* Positive attitude to working in a growing, changing organisation.
* Proficient IT skills including the use of Microsoft office: Word, Excel, and Power-point.
