Work type: Permanent. Working full time, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Performance Optimisation Manager to join us in the Service Operations Team and be responsible for reviewing, driving and monitoring the performance across the end to end Customer Journey to optimise and improve it across the full geographical area that Yorkshire Water serves. Where you fit in:
As our Performance Optimisation Manager, you will develop strategies to continually develop and improve the customer end to end journey. You will own the real-time monitoring of performance to continually balance the supply and performance across catchment areas working closely with the Demand and Capacity Team whilst ensuring consistency of service and compliance across all areas.
This role is critical in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, analytical precision, and strategic alignment. You will bolster learning and development, refine improvement plans, and serve as a subject matter expert for change management. You will lead, inspire and engage a team of operationally focused leaders to deliver the business area strategy and achieve all targets while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and customer satisfaction are delivered.
What skills & qualifications are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leading a Team within a complex and dynamic business environment. You will have demonstrated ability to engage with people at all levels.
You will have exceptional analytical, problem-solving skills, the ability to turn data into insight and a strong financial acumen experience in managing substantial budgets.
You will have proven effectiveness in process/continuous improvement and the ability to drive cost reduction initiatives. You will have detailed knowledge of quality systems and KPI management within a contact centre environment.
You will have strong knowledge and experience of business processes and systems linked to planning and scheduling.
You will have a thorough understanding of what delivers great customer service and have excellent communication and engagement abilities, both in writing and verbally. You will be able to communicate expectations and to translate strategy into solutions, all aimed at performance enhancement.
You will have resilience and the capacity to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, occasionally reactive environment. You will also have previous experience of delivering strategic plans and driving step changes within the business and ideally you will have had experience of working within a highly unionised workforce.
