Primary School Engagement Manager
Birmingham-based office with fully flexible/remote working available
£27k-32k starting salary (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Full-Time/Monday to Friday role
We are working with an award-winning delivery and training provider of physical activity programmes for children and young people, who aim to provide opportunities to promote long-term love and involvement in activity!
As a Primary School Engagement Manager for their network of Primary Schools, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the customer experience, building and nurturing strong and trusting relationships with all school clients, and ensuring they are fully supported throughout their journey with the organisation.
Your role will also see direct support and collaboration across internal teams to coordinate the school handover process, oversee their Customer Journey Maps (CJM), and deliver customer experience training for all team members aimed at finding ways to engage more schools and help the organisation achieve their mission.
What you will be doing:
* Conducting regular review meetings with schools, including preparation, follow-up, and drop-ins for renewals and PE health checks
* Maintaining and developing long-term, impactful relationships with all schools
* Proactively managing sales activities, including calls, emails, and follow-ups, to engage new and existing customers
* Coordinating and leading school handover meetings to ensure a smooth transition of accounts to operations staff
* Liaising with schools to communicate company updates, team member changes, and partnership opportunities
* Reviewing and following up with customers regarding outstanding payments to maintain healthy accounts.
* Planning and delivering training sessions for team members and associated partners
You will ideally have the following experience, knowledge and skills:
* Driving licence and access to own transport (essential)
* Experience in the education sector, with knowledge of the National Curriculum for Physical Education and understanding of the Primary PE and Sport Premium and its application in schools
* Degree in a relevant field and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (desirable)
* Proven experience in customer care or account management, ideally with school decision-makers
* Competency with CRM systems and familiarity with software packages to support customer management
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships
* Highly organised, able to plan, manage time effectively, and prioritise key tasks
* Resilient and proactive, capable of working independently and taking initiative to solve problems efficiently
* A team player with a collaborative spirit and a positive attitude, ready to contribute to team success
