Position Summary
The Internal Account Manager reports to the Head of Strategic Accounts and is responsible for managing Eque2’s SMB customer base. This role involves developing strong, credible relationships with customers and cross-selling a wide range of products. The existing accounts typically use various Eque2 software solutions, including Construct, our cloud and on-prem job costing and commercial management solution for Sage and Xero, and EValuate, our leading estimating solution. The portfolio includes accounts with turnovers ranging from £1 million to £30 million.
This is a varied, fast paced and challenging role in our Newburn (Newcastle) site. Office based with Hybrid working available after successful initial probationary period.
Role Headlines
* Be able to work collaboratively as part of a team while also striving to achieve both team and individual targets.
* Provide weekly forecasts and detailed descriptions of sales opportunities in the pipeline.
* Create opportunities through outbound calling.
* Serve as the point of contact for all customer account management matters.
* Collaborate with internal teams such as finance, support, professional services, and customer care to promptly address customer queries.
* Develop relationships with key accounts and create close plans for long-term opportunities.
* Ensure the CRM is always updated with customer contact details and interactions.
* Follow up on inbound leads promptly to maximize opportunities.
* Maintain a strong working knowledge of all Eque2 products and the value they offer to customers.
* Share insights with the marketing team about buying trends for future campaigns.
* Office based in our Newburn office in Newcastle.
Prerequisites
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Account Management role.
* Experience in software sales.
* Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously, typically around 20 to 30.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to create and write effective proposals.
* Experience in selling SaaS products.
Advantageous
* Understanding of the construction industry
* Understanding of financial / accounts packages – specifically Sage
