Area to be covered: Greater Yorkshire
Remuneration: £45,000-£55,000 Neg. Basic £65,000 uncapped OTE

The role of the Specification Sales Manager Roofing & Waterproofing systems will involve:
1. Field sales position promoting; felt roofing, green roofing systems, bitumen membranes, hot melt roofing, cold liquid applied waterproofing, waterproof roof coatings, single ply, structural waterproofing etc.
2. Majority of time winning specifications with architects and building surveyors
3. Remainder of time dealing with main contractors and approved roofing contractors
4. Target responsible circa £600,000
5. Inheriting a significant project bank which will help you to achieve next year’s sales target
6. Inheriting a pipeline of live projects and projects going through the tender process
7. Focusing on new build projects such as commercial projects, schools, public buildings, factories, blocks of flats etc.
8. Product training will be provided
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager – Roofing & Waterproofing systems with:
1. Proven track record of technically focused architectural or building surveyors specification field sales
2. Would consider someone from a contractor or similar building/product sales role with the following criteria: Technically focussed / building envelope experience / route to market experience in specification
3. Roofing experience is not essential
4. Open to building envelope associated products such as cladding, EWI, roof windows etc. as well as contractor backgrounds
5. Prior experience with either local authorities, building surveyors of building owners/ end users may be beneficial
6. Surveying knowledge/ experience may be useful
7. Ideally strong new build construction industry experience
8. Highly motivated, self-driven with a keen ambition to succeed and progress
9. Must be a team player with a professional approach to working
10. Excellent communication skills, as well as strong negotiating and influencing abilities
11. Hungry to learn mentality
