Job Overview
We believe in the power of data storytelling. Our Marketing Data Storytelling team converts complex retail data into insights that resonate with the public, industry, and media. You will collaborate with marketers, data scientists, and engineers to analyze large datasets and create engaging reports, blogs, and thought leadership pieces that demonstrate our technology's impact on ecommerce.
Responsibilities
1. Analyze retailer data to identify trends and benchmarks in ecommerce search and discovery.
2. Develop compelling narratives to support marketing initiatives, including blog posts and industry reports.
3. Create visual data representations and insights for diverse audiences.
4. Identify patterns in search and discovery behaviors across industries.
5. Maintain dashboards highlighting industry benchmarks and our impact.
6. Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to ensure data accuracy for storytelling.
Requirements
* Strong ability to analyze large datasets and extract insights.
* Proficiency in SQL and Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, seaborn); familiarity with Spark, Presto/Athena, Hive is a plus.
* Experience with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
* Excellent communication skills to translate data into narratives.
* Knowledge of statistics, A/B testing, and data storytelling principles.
* Understanding of ecommerce search, personalization, and merchandising trends is preferred.
* Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a remote environment.
