Salary: £27,665 to £40,644 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

The English team at Coventry college are passionate, dynamic and adventurous. We immerse young people and adults into English language and 19th century non-fiction literature as part of the GCSE specification. In addition, the team focus on embedding knowledge, skills and behaviours that underpin the GCSE and Functional Skills qualifications. The department thrive on innovative delivery models and teaching styles that captivate our young people and adults whilst meeting local needs. Students, employers and the community are at the heart of our curriculum design with strong links within vocational areas.
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated person to join our passionate team as Lecturer in English GCSE & Functional Skills. This role involves collaborative planning, preparing and delivering engaging English Language content to further education learners within the Construction area and potential Adult provision. The successful candidate will foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student participation and critical thinking. The candidate will hold a minimum of a Level 5 qualification (ideally Bachelor’s degree) in English language/Literature/TEFL. They will also hold, or be prepared to work towards, a level 5 teaching qualification.
