Cleaner About Exhall Grange Specialist School: Exhall Grange is a 4-19 school which provides a nurturing environment and meets the needs of children and young people with: • Social, Communication and Interaction difficulties including Autism • Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs • Physical difficulties • Sensory impairment • Complex medical needs Many of our children and young people are physically or emotionally extremely vulnerable or have life limiting conditions. The site is campus style with six separate buildings and has an exceptional range of facilities including a swimming pool, gym, sensory room, soft playroom and enterprise kitchen as well as design technology facilities and science laboratories. About the Job: We are seeking to appoint a Cleaner to join our dedicated team of individuals who are responsible for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness across our school premises. Your working hours will be 11.25 hours per week working 2¼ hours per day during the hours 15.30 – 19.30 pm (actual start time to be agreed), Monday to Friday during term-time and working for an additional 10 days per year during the holiday periods. These holiday days are set in advance and can be undertaken during the hours of 07.00 am until 15.30 pm The actual salary for this role is £6,317 per annum. There are no formal qualifications required for this role, however there is an expectation that you will:- • have basic literacy and numeracy skills to be able to read instructions and work out simple measurements • be able to operate equipment and use materials • understand and be able to work to procedures, follow straightforward instructions and read labels • understand and operate within regulations, including COSHH regulations • be able to communicate with colleagues and other staff members • be prepared to undertake necessary training required for this role.
