We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Transport Operations Manager to join our growing team. This pivotal role will be responsible for the successful management of all transport, cross-dock, and final mile delivery operations with your area of responsibility. Key Responsibilities: Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of regional transport operations, ensuring service levels are met and exceeded. Optimize fleet utilization and driver schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement. Plan and execute delivery performance against targets, proactively addressing challenges and implementing solutions. Financial Management: Ensure the regional transport operation operates within budget constraints. Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining service quality. Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with all relevant transport legislation, including road transport regulations and health & safety guidelines. Maintain a safe and compliant working environment for all drivers and staff. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with other regions, departments, and stakeholders across the Group's Logistics function. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and external partners. Team Leadership: Mentor and develop the regional transport team to achieve operational excellence. Foster a positive and high-performing team culture. Project Support: Contribute to and support wider Logistics team initiatives, including ad-hoc projects and fleet renewal projects. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present regular performance reports to the Head of Transport Operations and Managing Director. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in managing transport operations within a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of road transport legislation and regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage budgets effectively. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with transport management systems (TMS) is highly desirable.
