My client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the daily operations of their Finance department (team of five) and support the Finance Director. In this key role, you'll handle financial reporting and analysis, contributing to strategic decision-making while enjoying autonomy to improve and streamline the finance function.

Description
Key Tasks:
1. Manage the working capital components of the Group with specific attention to cash flow, debtors and currency management.
2. Maintain accurate accounting records and financial systems ensuring that supporting internal controls are appropriate as the business develops, ensuring integrity and transparency.
3. Monitor and report on performance against budgets and forecasts.
4. Lead the reporting for the project-based section of the business, ensuring there are weekly updates on the progress of each live project.
5. Actively manage overheads, seeking efficiencies and savings where possible.
6. Oversee the monthly processing of payroll and other employee payments.
7. Act as systems administrator for the company's accounting system, providing training and working with IT to ensure appropriate access is granted to allow flow of information.
8. Deliver daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly financial performance reports.
9. Ensuring the annual audit is conducted efficiently and quickly.
10. Managing and developing a team of 5.
Profile
The Successful Applicant
Essential:
1. CIMA / ACCA qualified.
2. Similar level role in a manufacturing SME environment.
3. Sound working knowledge of Sage 50.
4. MS Excel Advanced.
5. Commercial business awareness.
6. Excellent communicator.
