The role of an Accounts Assistant is critical in the successful operation of our client's Accounting & Finance department within the Transport & Distribution industry. This position requires a team member who is proficient in various accounting tasks and committed to providing financial support to the department. As a major player in their industry, they prioritise efficient, reliable service and uphold high standards of professionalism. Description Assist in maintaining financial records and reports. Prepare and update financial spreadsheets. Perform administrative duties such as filing and managing emails. Handle the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions. Support the team in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings. Contribute to the improvement of financial procedures and processes. Support the team in budgeting and bookkeeping procedures. Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies. Profile A successful 'Accounts Assistant' should have: A degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Excel. A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles. Familiarity with financial regulations. Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail. Good organisational and time-management skills.
