Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: Up to £45k
Calibre Search is working alongside a major UK-based multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy that has been providing high-quality services to clients for over 120 years. Their growing Newcastle office has opportunities for expansion due to a healthy forward workload generated by growth in the UK within the commercial, retail, industrial, and housing sectors.
Due to this continued growth, their specialist Infrastructure Team is looking to add a Senior level Engineer to help provide sustainable development infrastructure solutions to mainly private sector clients in both the UK and overseas. The team also works closely with other office disciplines to provide integrated solutions on high-profile multi-disciplinary projects.
Experience in highway and drainage design with a working knowledge of UK design standards is needed, along with the ability to balance several projects and meet project timetables. They currently have a varied workload ranging from large-scale distribution centre developments in the commercial sector to residential schemes of varying scales, from pre-planning through to construction. You will need to show experience in highways, external works, and drainage for these types of projects.
As well as having the ability to manage projects, providing support, mentoring, and guidance to less experienced colleagues, you will take initiative and manage your own workload and deadlines. The role will require you to review documents, designs, and drawings completed by the team to ensure consistent high quality and compliance with design standards, industry best practices, contractual obligations, and client expectations.
You will have a minimum of five years' experience with an aspiration to gain Incorporated or Chartered status, private sector experience, and a working knowledge in the use of PDS / Civil 3D, together with MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and AutoTrack.
