Our Newport Supported Housing Accommodation is looking for a positive, engaging, and passionate individual to join its team as a Project Worker working with Children/adolescent and families.

Day to Day Duties:
To work proactively and engage with families who are perceived to be ‘hard to reach’ using positive but persistent and assertive approaches in order to gain trust and bring about positive changes to improve outcomes for the whole family, ensuring they can sustain their tenancy.
As a Project Worker you will lead each shift by delivering support to the individuals at the service, managing the scheme and overseeing the Scheme Support Officers.
Your day will consist of:
Engaging and interacting with our service users.
Writing and following a support plan with the individual you are supporting
Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
Liaising with external agencies
Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have
Our aim is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse and physical disabilities. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.

Competitive salary of £25,486.00 +£51.11 for sleep-ins
Full-time 37hrs, Permanent position
Work Pattern: The scheme is covered 24 hours, 7 days a week so you would be expected to work on a 5-week rolling rota which would involve: day shifts, evening shifts, weekends & sleep ins
For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.
