We are recruiting a Football Development Officer (Male Pathway and Club Development Lead) to provide support to the grassroots football community. Headline Details Location: Northamptonshire FA offices (NN3 6WL), with potential for some hybrid working Hours: 35 hours per week - some evening and weekend work will be required at times Contract: Permanent Salary: £26,520 Reports to: Football Development Manager About the Role As our Football Development Officer, you'll be a key supporter and advocate for the dedicated club volunteers who form the backbone of grassroots football in Northamptonshire. You'll guide and empower these hardworking individuals, ensuring they have the resources, training, and recognition needed to create thriving, welcoming clubs for all. In this role, you'll provide hands-on support for clubs working within the England Football Accreditation framework, helping them reach new standards and maintain high-quality pathways for male players at every level. You'll bring strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, collaborating with club leaders and volunteers to build clear pathways for players from the play phase to adult and walking football. Your strategic mindset and relationship-building skills will be essential as you engage with clubs and key stakeholders - from FA Club Consultants to local community partners - co-ordinating resources that meet the specific needs of each club. By using data insights and feedback, you'll tailor support that grows both participation and the volunteer workforce, helping clubs attract, retain, and celebrate volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
