OVERVIEW: Are you our next Costing Engineer? We’re looking for someone to drive costing transparency and accuracy across our supply base. Ensuring Gymshark pay the right price whilst maintaining profits and collaborating cross functional with other teams to optimise the cost-effectiveness of the production process. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Managing Gymshark’s apparel standardisation library (including lay plans, consumptions and SMV) by creating guidelines for different product categories to achieve sustainable best cost to the business. Driving cost breakdown accuracy and transparency through comprehensive validation and analysis across multiple sourcing regions and liaising with vendors on costing standards. Creating tools to assist product and material sourcing teams to achieve costing targets. Supporting the entire vendor base with costing standardisation and SOPs to drive vendor consistency. Onboarding new vendors with standardised costing methodology, confirming negotiated agreements i.e profit margin to ensure seamless transition into the vendor matrix. Providing potential savings direction to the Sourcing leadership to set targets for upcoming seasons. Collaborating with the Sourcing Director and Heads Of to drive vendor costing strategy. Supporting the continuous improvement of Gymshark’s strategic costing framework including leading seasonal initiatives. Cross-functional collaboration across Sourcing, Product Development, Design and Materials. Providing and guiding Sourcing, Product Development, Design and Materials teams at each development milestone, suggesting cost impacts and cost reduction efficiencies and lean initiatives. Keeping up-to-date with the fluctuations in the market in materials costs, labor rates globally, inflations, energy costs and exchange rates that feeds into the overall seasonal strategies. Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, internal and external suppliers. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: 5 years of costing experience with strong financial analysis skills in apparel manufacturing In-depth understanding of apparel production processes, including labor costs, SMVs, and efficiencies. Expertise in garment construction and how techniques impact cost optimisation and production efficiency. Advanced knowledge of materials, including fibres, yarns, fabrications, printing, dyeing, and finishing. Understanding of global production practices and how regional differences impact costing strategies. Ability to anticipate problems, offer proactive solutions, and resolve material-related issues. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage complex cost structures. Excellent collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Skilled negotiator, capable of securing favourable supplier terms and optimising cost margins. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PLM, and data management systems for effective costing analysis. This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK. CLOSING DATE: Monday 14th April
