Responsibilities and Duties
As a Graduate BIM Consultant or a BIM Consultant you will join the team to help support delivery across a varied project base. Clearly defined scope activities will be delivered to ensure requirements are understood and actioned, and the benefits are realised through the adoption of BIM on a project from design phase though to project delivery.
Typical role activities may include:
1. Cross-checking model information against Employer’s Information Requirements (EIRs) and/or Project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
2. Supporting the development of strategic BIM documentation (BEPs, EIRs, AIRs etc.)
3. Producing clash detection and data verification reports and the supportive communication of findings to design teams.
4. Helping consultant design team members with technical queries
5. Supporting preparation for and attending design coordination meetings, recording the issues found and the resolutions agreed.
6. Involvement in internal R&D activities.
7. Delivering technical demonstrations and training to clients.
8. Project modelling using Revit or Civil 3D.
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for motivated and dedicated individuals who take pride in their ability to adapt and solve problems. Recognising the rapid changes in the construction industry, we understand that candidates may have some gaps in their knowledge, therefore we offer structured training along with ongoing support in a positive and collaborative work environment.
We’d love to hear from you if you have some of the following:
1. A minimum of a 2:1 in any industry-related degree
2. An understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its benefits to the construction Industry
3. Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO19650 and the UK BIM Framework
4. Knowledge of clash detection
5. A passion for quality and continuous improvement
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills
7. Proficiency in information gathering and technical discovery techniques
8. Strong teamwork / relationship management skills
9. A positive attitude & great interpersonal skills
10. A desire to enhance your skills with a fast-growing BIM consultancy
This position is located in Spring Gardens, right in the heart of Manchester city centre. Our office is in a great building, conveniently close to all public transport options, and offers a variety of amenities, including a rooftop garden, an on-site gym, and a bike storage area.
