The Responsibilities:
* To appropriately treat and rehabilitate injured players.
* Work closely with the Head of Medical, Team Physiotherapist, Doctor, Athletic Performance coaches and other support staff to ensure the maintenance and/or return to fitness of all injured players.
* Complete regular player screening and profiling in order to issue specific injury prevention education and prehab plans to players.
* Maintain comprehensive and up to date medical notes utilising the RFU performance management system.
* Promotion of anti-doping practices in line with World Rugby recommendations.
* Regular stock checks and organisation of medical supplies for all home and away games.
* Complete annual in-house and RFU injury audit to monitor injury incidence and epidemiology.
* Actively engage in a fully functioning competency framework and integrated appraisal process.
The Skills, Experience and Qualifications needed:
Essential
* BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy with 2-years post graduate experience.
* Registered physiotherapist with the HCPC and member of the CSP.
* Have completed MSK and Orthopaedic student rotations.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
* Valid first aid certificate.
Desirable
* MSc in a related subject e.g. SEM, Sports Physiotherapy, S&C.
* Post-graduate MSK, orthopaedic, and neurological experience within the NHS setting.
* Keen interest in exercise rehabilitation with a deep understanding of criteria-based RTP phases and pathways.
* Additional training in athletic performance and physical performance training.
* Understanding of female health in sport through post-graduate education.
* Experience of working with athletes in professional sport.
* Completion of the RFU PHICIS course Level 2, 3 or equivalent.
