Business Conduct Officer – Hybrid in Darwen, Sheffield or Southampton – ARD1080521
(Option of Hybrid working, following successful completion of probation period)
We are seeking a Business Conduct Officer to support our Business Conduct & Standards Manager in driving a culture of regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
You will work with our Health & Protection Leadership and the Risk & Compliance function to ensure that all regulatory, operational and conduct risks that impact our business are identified, assessed, and have appropriate controls that are monitored.

What you will do as a Business Conduct Officer:
This is an overview of duties and responsibilities and not an exhaustive list.
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with the business and promote a strong and positive conduct culture.
* Provide advice, guidance and challenge to support the business.
* Support the Business Conduct & Standards Manager to ensure risks and controls are identified, validated and documented within Decision Focus Next (DFN).
* Communicate relevant conduct information (e.g., QA output, E&O trends, breaches etc.) to business areas in a clear and concise manner and provide oversight of any resulting actions.
* Act as point of contact for the business regarding the T&C framework, including undertaking ongoing sales QA activity.
* Handle complaints referred to the Business Conduct & Standards department.
* Maintain a robust T&C framework, taking account of inherent risks and relevant metrics.
* Contribute to internal and external reporting and collate monthly and additional MI where required.
* Analyse relevant MI to identify gaps in risk or conduct issues and undertake root cause analysis to highlight underlying trends and track actions as appropriate.
What are we looking for in our next Business Conduct Officer?
* Experience working in an insurance environment, preferably healthcare/protection insurance broking.
* Experienced user of IT systems and Microsoft Office packages.
* Current and actively maintained knowledge of the regulatory environment.
* Highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a focus on objectives, priorities and deliverables.
* Good knowledge of healthcare/protection broking operations and processes.
* Previous experience or knowledge within a client support/sales admin role in a QA capacity.
