This is an excellent opportunity to join the largest generator specialist in the South West at their busy and successful Eastleigh depot.
Key Tasks & Main Duties
1. Provide general assistance in the yard, including loading and offloading equipment.
2. Drive fork lift in yard as required.
3. Deliver and collect generators and ancillary equipment using appropriate company vehicles as necessary, including refuelling.
4. Assist customers in running out of cables, on site as required.
5. Responsible for delivering fuel to customer sites using 4 x 4 vehicles, bowsers or fuel lorry, as required.
6. Responsible for checking and securing own equipment on lorry, ensuring equipment agrees to the relevant paperwork.
7. Comply with all relevant Health and Safety Regulations, e.g. Tachograph Regulations, Vehicle Safety Check Lists.
8. Carry out general workshop duties as required.
9. Carry out routine maintenance as required.
10. Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy, including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are tidy. This includes company vehicles.
11. Comply with all aspects of the company ISO 9001:2015 quality management procedures, proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement programme.
Skills and Experience Required
12. Towing qualification and experience - Essential
13. ADR Licence or Diesel Awareness Training (relevant training will be given if no ADR licence held)
14. HGV Class 2 Licence - Desirable
