North Cumbria Primary Care Ltd (NCPC) is an innovative not for profit organisation, established to create a network of GP Practice surgeries which sustains and supports the development of general practice across the local area. We support our Practices with a robust infrastructure with areas including; Quality & Safety, Patient Experience, Finance and HR.
As an organisation with a clear focus on delivering high quality care for patients, it is important that we continually seek to understand the experiences of patients, carers and their families. To ensure we continue to deliver on this, we are looking to recruit a Patient Experience Manager to work as part of our Patient Experience Team.
The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge and understanding of General Practice along with extensive management experience and the ability to prioritise a high workload and deadlines. You will be passionate about patient experience and be pivotal in supporting our Patients and Practice Teams to both capture and understand experiences of the care and support quality improvement, transformation programmes and collaboration.
You will have strong interpersonal skills, be compassionate, kind and empathetic and understand the importance of personalised patient centred care. Work with patients, families, carers and a wide range of important groups both internally and externally. This includes key health care partner organisations and most importantly the Care & Quality Commission (CQC), Local Integrated Care Board (NENCICB), The Parliamentary Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO), Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Your success in this role will rely on your ability to forge strong positive working relationships with colleagues, to influence, or to challenge when necessary. You will be curious in your approach and will continually seek to amplify the patient voice and drive changes in patient experience in our GP Practices within North Cumbria Primary Care (NCPC). It is essential that the candidate has a genuine commitment to the needs of the local community, a high level of personal resilience, operates with integrity and has high ethical standards.
You will be required to demonstrate sensitivity and empathy when dealing with distressed patients, family members or carers and team members. In order to be successful, you will need to have strong communication and management skills and an understanding of data analysis in order to fulfil all elements of the role – to support with operational delivery and promoting improvement initiatives.
This is a full time post, based across Carlisle, Workington and Copeland areas (working across North Cumbria)
