The Role
We are seeking a General Manager to join Marshall VW Group Trade Part Specialist (TPS) branch in Exeter. Reporting to our Group Aftersales Director, this role will see you leading day to day operations in a busy retail parts branch, and is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.
What youll do
* Provide leadership and direction to a team comprising a Sales Manager, Warehouse Operatives, Sales/Customer Service Reps and Drivers
* Ensure the branch achieves optimum market penetration by maximising sales of parts to trade and retail outlets
* Achieve the highest level of customer care and satisfaction for the branch at all times
* Manage parts stock levels and keep debtors to a minimum
* Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all department administration and operational data
* Develop a marketing and publicity strategy to promote all products and services effectively
* Brief the team regarding department objectives and give regular feedback on achievements
* Develop and maintain a professional working relationships with representatives from VWG/TPS
* Ensure the systematic recruitment, induction, and performance management of all department employees and aim to stabilise staff turnover by leading a motivated, productive and rewarded team
Who you are
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced parts professional with leadership experience, from either a franchised dealership or a retail parts business. In addition to your experience, you will demonstrate the following skills:
