The Role: As our Financial Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our financial accounting operations across the Highbourne Group ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial records, while adhering to relevant accounting principles and regulations. This is a brilliant opportunity for a Financial Accounting Manager to lead a successful financial accounting team in a business that is going through exciting transformation. The Financial Accounting Manager must be fully qualified and is offered on a 12 month FTC. Key Responsibilities Responsible for internal and external monthly reporting for the Group, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow. Managing the relationship with the external auditors through the year and being the key contact during the year end audit. Review of all central balance sheet accounts ensuring reconciliations are completed appropriately. Managing the Group Accounting Manual and playing a lead role in the adoption of new accounting standards across the Group where required, providing guidance on accounting treatment as required by the Group. Maintain central finance user access to banking systems. Provides leadership, coaching and direction to all direct reports within the team. Responsible for the preparation and filing of annual statutory accounts for all Group entities. Supporting supplier rebates, from debt collection queries to rebate in stock calculations. Youll enjoy working collaboratively with the wider Accounting & Finance team and youll thrive on delivering excellent & reliable management information. Skills and competencies Qualified Accountant. PQE working within a financial audit and controlling function is expected. Experienced in timely and accurate month end reporting with strong attention to detail even under pressure. Strong people management skills, able to inspire and develop those around you. Analytically-minded with experience of or desire to work alongside senior stakeholders right up to CFO level. Commercial experience in financial modelling (reporting, budgets, month-end etc). Clear knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft excel/Google sheets. Understanding of IFRS required. Understanding of how to accurately account for supplier rebates and rebate in stock (RIS) calculations. It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: ACA, ACCA, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow, Building Products, CIMA, Construction, Finance Manager, Google Sheets, Group Finance Manager, Group Financial Accounting Manager, IRFS, Management Accountant, Management Accounts, Month End, P&L, Private Equity, Retail, Stock Rebates.
