Overview:
We are looking for a chef/cook with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a kitchen at any level. This role is for someone wanting to move ahead and gain more experience, develop their skills, or for a head chef looking to improve their work-life balance. It’s an ideal role for those needing to fit work around schooling, as the hours can be condensed between 9:30 AM and 3 PM.
The venue will open Friday evenings from 6 PM to 10:30 PM (cocktails and mezze) and potentially Saturday mornings for brunch (TBC).
The venue will feature a large kitchen garden that we are running, utilizing produce from this garden and the farm at Bower Hinton to supply the restaurant.
The restaurant will focus on modern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, including influences from Italy, Greece, North Africa, and the Middle East, offering mezze/small plates, a few plats du jour, cakes, tarts, ice cream, and brunch.
We seek someone who loves food, enjoys working with interesting flavors, and is passionate about researching and developing menu ideas that change with what is available. We are happy to meet passionate cooks and individuals with less chef experience, as we offer training.
You will be responsible for managing the kitchen, ordering, maintaining hygiene standards, and collaborating with us to develop menus and plan dishes.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
