SEN Early Years Teaching Assistant
Academics is seeking a caring and patient Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Crawley. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young children with Autism, ADHD, and other special educational needs (SEN) in their early development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support for children in the Early Years.
2. Assist with learning, play-based activities, and personal care as needed.
3. Support children's social, emotional, and communication development.
4. Use positive reinforcement and sensory strategies to engage learners.
5. Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to create a supportive environment.
Requirements
1. Experience working with young children or those with SEN (preferred but not essential).
2. A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach.
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
4. Full UK driving licence (school is not easily accessible by public transport).
5. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
