A global publishing firm is looking for their first Chief Data Officer to lead the company's data-centric transformation.
The Chief Data Officer will be tasked with delivering the firm's enterprise data management strategy and creating a data-driven culture throughout the company to leverage data as a business asset. The role will report into the CEO and the global board.
Key Responsibilities:
* Change Management: Bring together various data silos within the company and create a data-driven culture.
* Consulting: Understand business requirements to align the data management strategy.
* Leadership: Grow and manage a team of best-in-class industry professionals under one vision.
* Standards & Governance: Ensure the company collects clean data and abides by relevant data privacy laws and directives.
Key Skills Required:
* Experience in a leadership role within the publishing or media space is crucial.
* 10+ years of experience in leading Data Management and/or data analytics practices within an enterprise organization.
* Background in Maths, Statistics, or Engineering is preferred.
* Experience in developing a Data Management & Data Architecture framework within an enterprise organization.
* Demonstrable experience in leading a team and hiring top talent.
* No specific technical expertise is required, but a background in Data Architecture or Engineering would be advantageous.
