Bumi Armada UK Limited (BAUK) currently have a permanent staff opportunity for a Production Technician to join the Armada Kraken FPSO on a 3:4:3:5 rotational pattern. Responsible for maintaining safe and optimised operation of the process plant system, providing isolating authority duties for the safe isolation and reinstatement of plant, in accordance with maintenance and shutdown activities. The successful candidate will have relevant offshore experience, key responsibilities are as follows:
* Responsible for carrying out all operational checks/readings and minor maintenance repairs on the installation in conjunction with the Shift Team Leader (STL) and provide technical guidance on production/process-related equipment.
* Fulfil risk management requirements by ensuring all production-related risks in production systems and associated utilities are identified, and ensure compliance with procedures.
* Ensure knowledge of safety requirements, including work permit systems, operational and emergency procedures and Company policies and instructions.
* Communicate closely with the HSE Advisor on HSEQ matters.
* Responsible for the daily operation and control of process plant system and associated safety systems, to maximise process uptime and oil production volumes, in accordance with legislative requirements and Company health and safety standards and in accordance with Site Operating Procedures (SOP).
* Ensure that any equipment deficiencies are immediately brought to the attention of the STL and appropriate corrective action is taken.
* Provide technical knowledge and experience in diagnosing and resolving operational problems and/or identification of opportunities for improvement.
* Report, monitor, and assist in the management of any leaks, weeps or seeps discovered across the process plant areas and liaise with the Offshore Integrity Engineer for the appropriate remedial action in line with Company procedures.
* Perform daily watchkeeping duties of outside process equipment, recording of critical plant readings and corrective action.
* Carry out pre-start-up and post-start-up checks and line-walking in line with safe isolation and reinstatement of the plant (SIRP) procedures to ensure safe operating conditions remain prior to restarting operations.
* Perform necessary adjustments to chemical injection rates and process equipment parameters to meet daily production targets.
* Act as nominated Performing Authority and Isolating Authority within the installation’s Control of Work system.
* Ensure the safe and efficient isolation, and de-isolation of all process plant, returning process equipment to service following maintenance, in strict compliance with the Company’s SIRP manual.
* Prepare work control certificates and isolation control certificates for vendor workscopes and take the necessary steps to ensure the job site is safely prepared with the adequate materials and spares.
* Take ownership of the Departmental areas for any ongoing or completed work tasks and ensure those areas comply with established clean workplace practices.
* Monitor stocks of chemicals, work materials and consumables for all Production Department activities and liaise with the Materials Coordinator for replenishments.
* Perform laboratory duties for analysing specification of crude oil/water in line with regulatory and commercial requirements (Oil in Water and Basic Sediment and Water analysis).
* Actively participate in pre-task site inspections and toolbox talks for all work within the Production Department work areas.
* Ensure that all information entered in logs, reports, production records and computerised maintenance management system is detailed, accurate and conforms to the installation’s safety management systems (SMS).
* Gather and compile data for daily production reports and maintain a detailed log of all production activities, such as operational issues, routine tasks, and non-routine activities, to enable comprehensive reporting within shift and trip handovers.
* Perform any other tasks as reasonably required.
