We are looking for a highly skilled Chief of Staff to support an UHNW principal in their private office in London. As a right-hand to the principal, you will oversee both their business and private lives and ensure everything runs smoothly at all times. This is an all-encompassing role in which you will be responsible for overseeing the private office including all financial and legal matters, managing multiple international properties and household staff, as well as managing all business administration and communication, all with exacting standards. Based between the principal's home, and their Central London offices, you will work closely with support from the PA to ensure all tasks are managed diligently and with the correct level of urgency. A can-do positive attitude is essential for this role, as well as the ability to think outside of the box. Usual in-office hours are Monday-Friday, from 9am – 6:30pm, however, the principal requires the successful candidate to be responsive outside of hours and at weekends. You will also be required to undertake short-term travel monthly to the principal’s European residence.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
* Act as Director of the private office and right-hand to the principal.
* Management of all household staff in UK and Europe, including recruitment, rotas, in-person staff meetings, allocation of and ensuring duties are carried out, ensuring procedures are followed and high standards are maintained.
* Coordinating and working with all advisors and consultants (business, tax, legal, medical, etc)
* In charge of all financial aspects of the private office and principal’s personal finances, including accounting, weekly financial reporting, monthly payroll, expense management, tax filing, mortgage reviews, and all insurance policies.
* Oversee all legal aspects and the private office including liaising with lawyers, oversight of all contracts, employment contracts, NDAs, lease agreements etc).
* Business secretarial requirements (go-between for principal and his businesses) as well as any other secretarial requirements.
* Artwork management (inventory, sales, archiving, logistics etc).
* Overseeing the PA in terms of diary management and travel coordination. • General administration and organisation.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Prior experience as a Chief of Staff or Private Personal Assistant for a high net worth individual.
* London-based and happy to be in the office 5 days per week, as well as be responsive out of hours.
* Professional, hardworking, and an ambassador for the principal at all times.
* Highly discrete and able to manage confidential information appropriately.
* Ability to listen, process and action all requests with utmost urgency in accordance with the
* principal’s instructions.
* A switched-on individual who thinks outside of the box and is solution-driven; with an
* attitude that no task is too small or too big no isn’t an answer.
* Excellent verifiable references.
