Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join an Acute Adult Inpatient Services team in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic multidisciplinary environment, delivering therapeutic services to adults in an acute inpatient setting.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting patients in their recovery journey by assessing and addressing their functional needs. You will work closely with patients, their families, and the clinical team to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients’ independence, skills, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
\n
\n
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients’ occupational needs and functional abilities
\n
* Develop and implement personalized therapeutic treatment plans to support patients’ rehabilitation and recovery
\n
* Provide individual and group therapy sessions focusing on improving daily living skills, cognitive function, and social interaction
\n
* Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care for patients
\n
* Offer advice and support to patients, families, and staff on managing daily tasks and coping strategies
\n
* Maintain accurate clinical records and document treatment progress
\n
* Participate in clinical meetings and case reviews to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
\n
* Contribute to the development and improvement of therapy services within the unit
\n
\n
Key Requirements:
\n
\n
* A recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy (BSc, MSc, or equivalent)
\n
* Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration
\n
\n
