About Our Client
My client is a public sector organisation based in Slough.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Executive Support:
o Provide administrative and operational support to the Director of Operations, who has the largest remit within the organisation.
o Assist the Executive Assistant (EA) with Board-level committees and partnership meetings.
o Provide occasional support to the Chief Executive (CEx), Board, and wider executive team during busy periods or annual leave cover.
2. Diary and Meeting Management:
o Manage and coordinate diaries for the Director of Operations, ensuring efficient scheduling of appointments and meetings.
o Assist with preparation for meetings, including creating agendas and briefing materials.
o Attend meetings as required and provide professional and accurate minute-taking.
3. Panel Coordination Oversight:
o Line-manage the Panel Coordinator responsible for all social work operational meetings chaired by the Director of Operations.
o Ensure smooth delivery of panel coordination services, including covering annual leave periods if required.
4. Communication and Call Management:
o Work as part of a team rota to handle external calls to the company, ensuring professional and efficient responses.
o Serve as a first point of contact for enquiries, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Administrative Support:
o Support the implementation of good practice across the Corporate Support Team.
o Assist with special projects and initiatives as directed by senior leadership.
The Successful Applicant
Key Skills and Experience Required:
* Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant in a corporate environment.
* Strong diary management skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
* Excellent minute-taking abilities, with attention to detail and professionalism.
* Experience managing or supervising staff, with a focus on delivering operational excellence.
* Exceptional organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain discretion with sensitive information.
