Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Quality Manager to join our team within the Dungannon Retail site. Working closely with the Production team, Customers, Engineering, supply chain and our employees, this will be a hands-on role with scope to shape and develop a high performing and effective Quality Team, driving a Food Safety Culture throughout the site and working proactively and collaboratively with our production colleagues to ensure we deliver on our quality commitments to our customers.
Responsibilities
1. Responsibility for Quality standards within the production area
2. Being the driving force behind Food Safety Culture initiatives
3. Providing up to date reports, analysis and feedback to the Site FSQ Manager
4. Supplier non-conformance reporting and actions
5. Integrity of process including label verifications
6. Investigating with Root Cause Analysis on any Customer complaints
7. Maintaining the Quality Management system
8. Attending Lean 6s & Pit Meetings as well as daily Production Meetings
9. Ensuring regular meetings and action updates with Hygiene manager
10. Completion of Audits GMP, Allergen etc
11. Follow up Pest control CAs
12. Schedule Validations and Schedule Calibrations
13. Review Service Level Agreements & Haulier approvals
14. Responsible for Quality team on the shift, in terms of work structure, communication and effectiveness
15. Employee Interviews, performance management and development plans
16. Drive the continuous improvement agenda within the team
17. Building strong collaborative relationships with all departments
18. Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
Qualifications
The Person:
1. Formal Qualification in a Food Science or related area
2. Experience in a Supervisory or Management position within Food Manufacturing
3. Strong Understanding of FSQ Management systems including HACCP
4. Experience dealing with customer and 3rd party audits
5. Good knowledge of industry standards
6. Strong relationships and networks with Industry and Community
7. Ability to help deliver change and manage a team through a change process
8. Keen interest in people development and performance management
9. Ability to make decisions, help develop strategy and drive an agenda forward
10. Strong communication skills and the ability to positively influence stakeholders
11. Self-motivated and driven with the ability to deliver improvements
12. Ability to work on a shift pattern basis
13. Willing to build knowledge base above and beyond core experience

This role operates on a shift basis, including weekend work, which will be discussed at interview.
All candidates must be flexible and prepared to work additional hours when required to meet customer demand.
