The Exam Invigilator is responsible for overseeing the proper conduct of examinations, ensuring that all students adhere to exam regulations, and maintaining a quiet, focused environment. The role is essential in upholding the integrity of the exam process and ensuring fairness for all candidates. Key Responsibilities: Set-Up & Preparation: Arrive at the designated exam location before the exam begins. Ensure the exam room is set up according to the required seating plan. Distribute and collect exam papers, answer sheets, and any other necessary materials. Verify candidate identification and ensure seating arrangements are correct. Monitoring the Exam: Supervise students during the exam, ensuring they follow all rules and regulations. Address any queries or issues that arise, without assisting with exam content. Ensure no unauthorized materials are brought into the exam room. Report any incidents of misconduct or irregularities to the exam coordinator. Ensuring Exam Integrity: Monitor the timing of the exam and ensure all students begin and finish at the same time. Ensure the quiet and orderly conduct of the exam at all times. Ensure no distractions are present and intervene if any disruptions occur. Post-Exam Duties: Collect all exam papers and answer sheets at the end of the exam. Ensure all materials are accounted for before leaving the exam room. Assist in the safe and secure transportation of completed exams to the designated storage area. Skills & Qualifications: Attention to Detail: Ability to focus on multiple tasks and maintain a high level of accuracy. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate rules, instructions, and address concerns respectfully. Professionalism: Maintain a professional, calm, and authoritative presence. Punctuality: Arrive on time for all scheduled exams and stay until the completion of the exam process. Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not required. Training will be provided. Working Conditions: Flexible hours, depending on the exam schedule. This is a temporary, part-time role that is typically held during exam periods. Must be available for shifts throughout the exam period, including early mornings and evenings.
