Working as part of our Power Engineering Services team near Birmingham the role provides hands on technical support and manages breakdowns to minimise the impact on production and operations.
Your responsibilities
* Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and or electrical and technical issues.
* Ensure compliance with Uniper Health & Safety systems.
* Provide specialist assistance and support to other members of the PES team.
* Work with external maintenance providers when required.
* Other responsibilities as defined by the PES Operations Manager.
Your profile
* Recognised technical apprenticeship, qualified to NVQ3 or equivalent in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
* Good mechanical knowledge.
* Ability to self-motivate by displaying drive, energy & commitment.
* Technical experience relevant to the Business Mechanical and or Electrical systems.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet challenging targets.
* Communication & interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships, internally & externally.
* Ability to work flexibly and as part of a Team.
* Leads by example to develop the culture of continuous improvement.
* Time management and attention to detail.
* IOSH Managing Safety qualification would be advantageous.
