Adult’s Social Worker

Manchester City Council requires a qualified Senior Social Worker for the MASH team, to start as soon as possible.
This is a temporary position required for the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. Applicants must have experience in dealing with safeguarding referrals, screening, enquiries, and information gathering. The candidate should also possess good communication and listening skills, along with experience in multi-agency working.
This is a 3-day per week office-based role, specifically on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
The role holder will provide professional oversight and supervision in difficult and complex situations within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub, ensuring that necessary legal, policy, and ethical imperatives are maintained while working with customers of the service.
The role holder will support the leadership of the Operations and Performance Manager, providing a consistent and effective service in complex individual and family situations, maintaining good working relationships within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub, with other Council services, and with a range of external partners.
The role holder will be responsible for the safe delivery of social care, ensuring the effective discharge of statutory responsibilities and the provision of a high-quality standard of service.
The role holder will manage safeguarding risk effectively, working within a multi-agency environment to provide a professional social work service.
