Job Description Job Title: Contentious Probate Solicitor Location: Birmingham City Office / Shirley Office Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum (DOE) Hours: Monday to Thursday: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (37 hours per week, including a 1-hour lunch break) Are you an experienced Contentious Probate Solicitor looking to advance your career within a supportive and forward-thinking Legal 500 firm? We are seeking a talented Contentious Probate Solicitor with 10 years' PQE to join our client's established private client team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-quality cases alongside leading legal professionals while helping to shape the team’s growth and success. About the Role: Handle a diverse caseload, including disputes between beneficiaries and executors or trustees, challenges to wills, and estate and trust administration disputes. Supervise and mentor junior members of the team, fostering their growth and development. Engage in business development activities, networking, and building relationships with clients and local referrers. Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver outstanding legal services. The Ideal Candidate: A Contentious Probate Solicitor with 10 years’ PQE and a strong track record of success in contentious probate matters. Excellent client care and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport. A confident communicator comfortable undertaking business development and networking. Contacts in the local market and a following of work are advantageous but not essential. ACTAPS qualification is highly desirable but not mandatory. Why Join this Team?
