Morosn Technical Services are currently seeking an Aircraft Simulator Technician to join our WIST CLS Team based at RNAS Yeovilton on a permanent basis working a shifts routine.
Purpose
1. To be an engineering and technical resource to ensure all Synthetic Training Equipment (STE) are maintained and provided to the Merlin Commando Training Facility on time and to the agreed standard.
2. To assist the Authority Chief Instructor (ACI) and Synthetic Training Manager (STE) with the achievement of all STE availability related Key Performance indicators
3. Provide on-site engineering support for all delivered STE this may include, but is not limited to: Morning readiness and system start upPreventative and Corrective maintenanceSpare part installation and integrity testingInventory managementSTE training preparationIssue collection and reportingEnd of day shut downSupport the STE Manager in the provision and availability of the STE suite in accordance with the daily training schedules.Carry out bay maintenance on STE repairable items (assuming a philosophy of 1st, 2nd and 4th line repair).Carry out and provide maintenance coverage for STE, including unplanned corrective repair in the event of failure.Support the STE Manager in ensuring that all planned maintenance is completed to schedule and cost.Conduct the tasks as appropriate to ensure compliance with onsite Health, Safety and Environment operation.Report all engineering and technical progress to the STE Manager with respect to maintenance activities, outstanding issues and improvements that may contribute to the effectiveness to conduct training.Support the STE Manager with interfacing the Training Equipment Supplier to manage warranty, faults, software support, modifications and updates for the Training Equipment in conjunction with the LH SL&SS Second Line Support team.Support the STE Manager in the management of the Training Equipment spares, tools, consumables etc.Carry out general housekeeping, Acceptance Test procedures (ATP), Qualification Test Guide (QTG) procedures both automatic and manual, progressive servicing, defect investigation and rectification for the following systems as directed by the STE manager.

6. Ability to communicate effectively, with excellent interpersonal skills.
7. Determination to contribute to the development of a ground breaking Training Service, to achieve the highest quality and standards
8. Ability to service the STE to the highest quality and standards
9. Ability to implement change, maintain service progress & improvements
10. Strong PC literacy with an excellent understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) applications.
