A leading Civil Engineering and Construction company, with operations across the UK and Ireland, is seeking an experienced Design Manager or Design Co-Ordinator to join their growing team. With offices in Northern Ireland and the East Midlands, the company delivers high-quality projects across sectors such as civils, water infrastructure, commercial, and residential developments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage design phases from planning approval to on-site execution.
* Co-ordinate and approve construction drawings, ensuring alignment with client requirements and budgets.
* Oversee external design teams and ensure timely delivery of design programs.
* Liaise with the Planning Manager and all project stakeholders to meet design and planning requirements.
* Manage the flow of information, ensuring technical compliance and value engineering for quality and cost improvements.
* Ensure designs comply with regulations, including CDM and building regulations.
* Collaborate with commercial and construction teams for a smooth project handover.
Requirements:
* Relevant construction or architectural qualification.
* Experience in a similar role with a main contractor.
* Strong knowledge of design processes, building regulations, and project management software.
* Excellent communication and team-building skills.
