Security Supervisor

Hours of work: 42 hours per week during term time
20.5 – 23 hours per week during non-term time
Salary: £28,503 per annum
Location: Wakefield College campus
We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Supervisor to join our Estates team at Wakefield College. As a Security Supervisor, you will provide an essential front of house service, ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
The role is varied, and no two days are the same. You will undertake security duties to ensure that the campus is opened, closed, secured, and alarmed at agreed times, as well as conducting regular patrols to monitor security and report any issues through appropriate channels.
You will support the Operations Managers and Estates Team in delivering and maintaining quality service across the group in compliance with ISO 9001. Additionally, you will monitor student behaviour, intervening and managing behaviours when appropriate, promoting a positive College ethos, and reporting inappropriate behaviour to a duty manager.
We are looking for someone who can communicate effectively at all levels and has the ability to remain calm and professional in various situations, quickly assessing and diffusing situations in line with Group policies and values.
As a Security Supervisor, you should:
* Have previous experience in front line security
* Hold a SIA Licence
* Hold a door licence or be willing to undertake it
* Be First Aid trained or willing to undertake this training
* Have good communication and interpersonal skills
