Seeking a consultant gastroenterologist for 6 months sabbatical cover in a hospital based practice in one of the South Island's most sought after locations. Position Highlights 140 bed general public hospital providing secondary medical and surgical services 40 hour working week On call rota cover for general internal medicine (optional) scope of practice - out patients, endoscopy clinics and in patients Supervise and participate in teaching of junior medical workforce Professional Requirements FRACP or equivalent specialist qualification specialist accreditation in gastroenterology recognised by the NZ Gastroenterology Society (preferred) Eligible for vocational or provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in the scope of paediatrics OR Locum Tenens Registration Remuneration Package Salary (ASMS scale depending upon experience) On call allowances superannuation at 6% 6 weeks annual leave 12 days public holidays 10 days study leave plus NZD16K pa for expenses generous relocation package - be reimbursed a competitive relocation, accommodation, and car rental expenses Location: The Nelson Marlborough region This region, located at the summit of the South Island in Aotearoa, New Zealand, is spectacular.
