Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with a well-respected provider of residential care for children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs. This organisation is committed to creating safe and nurturing environments where each young person is supported to heal, grow, and thrive.
We are currently supporting them in the search for a dedicated and experienced Children’s Registered Manager for their Ofsted-rated 'Good' residential home, located in Newhaven. This service provides care for up to six young people aged between 10 and 18, with backgrounds of Problematic Sexualised Behaviour (PSB).
The Role
* Lead the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring high standards of care and support
* Provide leadership and manage staff, inspiring and motivating your team
* Oversee operational functions including budgeting, rota planning, inspections, and service performance
* Demonstrate confidence, proactivity, excellent communication skills, and a clear understanding of residential childcare's strategic and commercial aspects
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years’ experience relevant to residential care of children
* At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a similar setting
* NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
* Recent 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted inspection grade
* Registered Manager with Ofsted
* Enhanced DBS
* Knowledge of regulations and safeguarding
* Strong understanding of health and social care frameworks, especially Ofsted standards
