Key Responsibilities:
1. Control all aspects of selected projects including planning, budgeting, and scheduling of projects from conception to completion.
2. Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure that all projects meet client specifications and are delivered on time and within budget.
3. Employing systems to track and monitor project progress and ensuring that all the project team are compliant with these systems.
4. Ensuring that all disciplines of the project team are working effectively and the ability to resolve issues in each department as they arise. (BIM/Engineering/QA/Procurement)
5. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
6. Establish and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, and negotiate contracts and agreements as needed.
7. Manage the financial aspects of each project, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
8. Ensure that all work complies with relevant legislation, codes, and standards, including health and safety regulations.
9. Ensure structures are put in place to monitor, review and control the budgeted or agreed expenditure.
10. Implement cost and value procedures and ensure that all necessary commercial reports are produced accurately and in a timely fashion to Senior Management.
11. Work closely with the Directors and Site Managers to support and recommend strategies, to identify any potential risks or issues and to find an appropriate resolution.
12. Issue weekly progress reports to the client and engineering manager.
13. Issue monthly progress reports for Senior Management/Directors.
14. Work collaboratively with Senior Management / Directors to continue to achieve business needs.
15. Foster productive, collaborative partnerships with internal and external Clients.
Requirements:
16. A mechanical background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
17. 5+ years of experience as a Project / Contracts Manager in the Mechanical HVAC industry with a background as a project engineer for 5+ years.
18. Knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC and Process systems, including their design, installation, and operation.
19. Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
20. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
21. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
22. Must be able to travel within Europe on occasion.
23. A full driving license.
