Project Coordinator
Peterborough (PE1) – Hybrid (3 days in the Office / 2 days WFH)
Initial 6 Month Contract – possibility to extend for the right person!
Hours: 37 a week with a lunchtime finish on a Friday! ( 08.00/09.00 start Mon – Fri)
Up to £21.65 per hour PAYE (umbrella contract rates also available)

Our client is a world leader in the design, manufacture and support of a world class range of engines, they are looking to extend their Program/Project Management team in Peterborough; you could be working on engineering and research projects, facility new technologies across the product range, marketing and IT projects, heavy machinery upgrades, NPI research – as you can see, this is very diverse and varied work! You’ll need your passport to hand for 2-3 days quarterly trips to Europe, you’ll also visit our client’s other UK facilities (travel = 10 - 15% approx. of your time).
What skills and experience will the Project Coordinator need?
* You’ll lead allocated projects to ensure they’re delivered on time, to cost & quality - so will need demonstrable experience of this, ideally within an engineering/manufacturing/IT environment
* Must have demonstrable job-related experience
* MS Project is required - must possess extensive knowledge of project management software
o Good Excel skills are vital (complex formulas, linking multiple worksheets, pivot tables, graphs)
o MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and Web Publishing tools
o Strong project management skills, indirect leadership skills, excellent communication skills, ability to multitask effectively, strong analytical and organizational skills
o Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or to influence others inside and outside the department to take specific actions
o Experience of project resource loading and forecasts, cost loading and forecasts, scope management, and other project management tools including risk management
o Strong interpersonal skills including team leadership, adaptive communication skills, and strong analytical and organizational skills
o Prince 2/PMP or equivalent qualification and Six Sigma experience would be advantageous
