Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated Prosthetic Technician to join our new Cambridge clinic which will open during May 2025. As a Prosthetic Technician, you will play a crucial role within the team delivering high levels of technical support both within a workshop setting and also liaising with patients and their families within the clinic. This position requires a dynamic individual. Training will be provided where required.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Safe and competent working practices within a prosthetic workshop environment
* Working within a small dedicated onsite team where good teamwork and communication is key
* Interacting with prosthetic users and their families within the clinical setting
* Communicating with visitors outside of the prosthetic industry who are keen to understand manufacturing processes
* Exploring a wide range of manufacturing processes including 3D printed technology
* Effectively and accurately managing stock in the workshop
* Supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic
* Supporting manufacturing for Opcare Cambridge from the Proactive clinic as required.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in prosthetic manufacturing is desirable, but not essential
* Strong technical, organisational and communication skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
* Attention to detail and a patient-focused mindset
* Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
