Commercial Manager
Mitie has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to come and join our Team! The Commercial Manager shall coordinate with other support functions and dedicated contract roles to understand and deliver commercial solutions and provide day to day commercial management support to the contract teams. This role will also see the Commercial Manager at the forefront of identifying and managing legal, financial and commercial risks and opportunities in collaboration with the contract team. Driving the uptake and creating awareness of commercial best practice and internal governance policies and procedures will also be an integral part of the role.
Other key functions of the role include being responsible for advising contract teams on commercial queries and interpretation of contract terms and conditions including risks and liabilities, payment mechanisms, KPIs, scope and specification requirements to drive efficiencies and reduce scope creep. Ensuring risk & opportunity registers are maintained by account management teams and all items have clear action plans will also be a key part of your new role, including direct responsibility for the management of those risks and opportunity's. Providing support to account teams on contract variations and change orders ensuring they are executed in accordance with the specific requirements of the contract and compliance with internal policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will be a dedicated member of the contract team responsible for the delivery of exceptional Commercial Management support and providing guidance to the wider team on a multitude of issues ranging from contract performance, variations and damage to the successful resolution of defects and associated disputes. We are also looking for a candidate who has experienced in Risk and Opportunity Management, as well as experience in resolving complex issues through problem solving and negotiations. Understanding key contract provisions critical for managing the contract risk profile will also be important experience for the candidate to have.
