Position: Metrologist
Mitutoyo is looking for a Metrologist to join our team based at our Coventry UKAS Laboratory to undertake calibration and certification of Dimensional Measuring Equipment and Reference Masters in line with the laboratory’s approved operating procedures, maintain administrative reporting and accurate records.
Responsibilities
* Have relevant mechanical engineering qualifications or experience or have undertaken an appropriate engineering apprenticeship followed by substantial experience in standards room and/or gauge inspection techniques.
* Have experience of inspection techniques in order to relate to customer applications and the subject is essential.
* Have an in-depth knowledge of terminology specific to our industry.
* Be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of dimensional metrology.
* Be able to work independently representing Mitutoyo at our own sites and at customer premises.
* Have good communication, organisational and I.T. skills.
* Have a willingness to learn; be very well organised, presentable, flexible and self-motivated.
This is a full-time position. 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
