Nursery Chef
Seeking a Chef to work in our nursery, ideally someone that has previous experience in Early Years nutrition and food preparation for children.
A NVQ/BTEC/BA degree in Cooking or additional certificates and training in food preparation and food hygiene would also be desirable.
Starting salary: £28,000 - £29,000 pa + further training, excellent career progression opportunities, paid holidays.
Working Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday. Day-time shifts only. No evenings or weekends.
Job Description:
1. Oversee the complete running of the nursery kitchen.
2. Produce nutritional dishes for children in line with recipes.
3. Plan weekly menu.
4. Monitor allergens and remain vigilant to every dish, ensuring each child's health and dietary requirements are safeguarded.
5. Use fresh ingredients, ordering stocks and supplies.
6. Ensure Health and Safety in the workplace at all times.
