What will you be doing?
1. Calculating benefits manually, using proformas, and employing relevant pension administration system routines.
2. Following checklists and procedures for each individual case.
3. Ensuring appropriate authorisation before releasing information.
4. Preparing bulk mailings such as annual newsletters and pension increase notices.
5. Communicating with members and third parties.
6. Gaining knowledge of clients through daily work, discussions with colleagues and partners, and referring to administration guides and notes.
7. Understanding scheme-specific details and recognizing when procedures vary between schemes.
8. Maintaining compliance with LCP procedures in case handling.
9. Staying updated on legislative changes affecting pensions.
10. Understanding concepts like preservation, statutory increases, contracting-out (including GMPs), and current pensions tax regimes.
11. Drafting non-standard correspondence as needed.
12. Identifying non-standard cases (e.g., part-timers).
13. Applying knowledge of GDPR at all times to ensure data protection compliance.
